Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Provide positive, professional communication between AWA-ALC and AISIN NAP's
  • Support AISIN NAP locations with the development of training curriculums and materials.
  • Facilitate AISIN NAP locations with the planning and implementation of the training curriculum.
  • Assist AISIN NAP locations as a training instructor / assessor as needed.
  • Participate in the North American 3 Pillar Promoter meetings.
  • Provide daily support at the AISIN NAP locations with training related improvement activities such as (TPS, KYT, QC Circles, 1P1K, 5's) and judge the training results against KPI's.(QCDSM)
  • Summarize and communicate information, training results, audit results, floor side application results at AISIN NAP locations.
  • Work closely with AWA-ALC Seymour and the NAP 3 Pillar staff to help develop a stronger and more adaptable company through the 3 Pillar system.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate training requirements with AISIN NAP's.
  • Ability to teach in a classroom and floor side setting
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching in a high-volume manufacturing operation is desired
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point is essential
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Toyota Production System
  • Japanese or Spanish language preferred, but not required

Education/Training/Certifications

  • BA/BS preferred or
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Leadership / Teaching role

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 25%
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

  • Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
