Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• Reduction of open SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests), quality concerns of suppliers and missed-shipments of suppliers to Aisin plants.
  • Leading supplier communications to balance between suppliers and Aisin's production plants through periodical Microsoft-TEAMS based communication, or by visiting supplier(s).
  • Providing technical knowledge, gain connection of technical resources or suggest path to solutions.
• Assessment of suppliers in terms of SPTT (readiness) audit or high-volume production trials.
• Making fair judgments to building trusts between Aisin group and suppliers by perspectives in multiple directions.
• Ability to report situation in writing to provide path and opinions towards next level.
• Visiting suppliers to gain trusts and set path to achieve goals as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Ability to always calmly assess progress in various circumstances, and provide guidance to involved team for resolutions
• Ability to comprehend suppliers' information provided in multiple formats and organize.
• Ability to drive teams of suppliers and Aisin plants towards success
• Keeping good record of communication in terms of meeting minutes to propel actions forward.
• Following up status, progress

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• Experiences in Gantt chart management and drive towards target.
• Basic process knowledge of metal forming; such as stamping, machining, welding, or surface treatment.
• Experiences in technical field, such as manufacturing engineering, quality engineering
• Experiences in RFQ, supplier selection process.

Education/Training/Certifications (Either of following)

• Bachelor/ Master's degree in supplier management, engineering, etc.
• Associate degree with 2 years of experience in industry, etc.

Work Environment Requirements

• Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.
• Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
• Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
• Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 10-20 %
• Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
